From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn
Blessed day everyone. I’m happy that you can join me today as we look at this devotional by Randy Alcorn, “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective.”
Again, ang sabi po natin we are looking at this so that we would understand our very purpose on this dot as we live for the line. It’s so easy for us to be consumed by the world that we are living in. Be it yung success or pwede rin yung struggles that we are going through. And so it is very important for us to have an eternal perspective.
As we understand, na ang buhay dito sa mundong ito, matatapos at meron pang kasunod na buhay at ito’y buhay na walang hanggan. At madalas ko pong sinasabi, depende yan kung saan ka magspend ng eternity. It could be with God in all glory and filled with perfect joy or it could be in eternal torment in hell.
Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:12 (NASB)
5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time,
1 Peter 5:5-6 (NASB)
“When we become proud, we operate outside the grace God gives only to the humble. Humility preserves us; pride destroys us.” – Randy Alcorn
