Prayer: Making an Eternal Difference | February 18, 2021

From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn

Blessed Thursday everyone welcome po sa ating devotion. And today, we will be looking at 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

17 pray without ceasing,

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV)

Ang ating topic for today is prayer: how prayer makes an eternal difference. And our devotional goes like this, “God’s greatest works, accomplished through prayer, are often invisible to us now. We pray now in faith, believing our prayers are making an eternal difference; we anticipate Heaven, where we’ll learn God’s breathtaking answers to our prayers, including many that seemed to go unheard and were ignored.” Our prayers have eternal value. Especially when we are praying for God’s will.

Prayer isn’t passive; it’s active. It’s really doing something. Prayer isn’t the least we can do; it’s the most that we can do. Sabi natin lagi, ‘the least we can do is to pray,’ no, the most that we can do is to be praying. “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Ephesians 6:18, NIV).

Our devotion comes from the book:
