When It Comes to Heaven, Dream Big | February 27, 2021

From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn

Beautiful Saturday morning everyone, or evening,or afternoon depende po kung kailan niyo pinapanood ang ating devotions. As we come to the close of Week Seven ng atin pong daily devotions, we will be looking at 1 John and Philippians.

2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

1 John 3:2 (ESV)

20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself.

Philippians 3:20-21 (ESV)

Definitely it’s very obvious that we will be discussing about eternity how we would be with God in heaven. Sabi po ni Randy Alcorn, as we go back to the devotional that we’re using, “Those who know God and believe His promise of bodily resurrection can dream great dreams: Skydiving without a parachute? Maybe.” Ang ganda ng perspective na yun, I don’t know? Kasi when it comes to heaven we have this presupposition noon na tayo nakaputi, and we are floating, and we have harps in our hands, and then we will just be singing hallelujah. But if we understand that we would be doing wonderful things to enjoy God forever and to be learning more of Him and from Him and to just enjoy His love and fellowship. We would indeed bring great dreams.

Our resurrection bodies will be superior. Wala ng sakit. More than the, yung mga imaginative na mga naiisip ko na gagawin sa langit, more than that, I think I’m longing for the glorified body. Kasi alam natin sa buhay natin ngayon, we have frailties, we we have sicknesses, I mean the reason why I use glasses is just proof na nagdedeteriorate ang aking katawan. mean I’ve been having a lot of aches already backaches… so, it would be fantastic when we go get to heaven.

Our devotion comes from the book:
