True Happiness (January 15, 2021)

From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn

Blessed day everyone. Welcome to our devotion and today we’ll be looking at Psalm 63 verse 5, as we try to find out what true happiness is.

My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
And my mouth will praise You with joyful lips.

Psalm 63:5 (ESV)

As we look at this beautiful devotional na ating pinag-aaralan, Seeing the Unseen, and it’s talking about a daily dose of eternal perspective. How do we invest in eternity? How do we live now in this dot while living for the line while we are anticipating or we are investing for eternity?

… Isa sa mga madalas kong sinasabi, with regards to the pandemic is that, it has forced us to understand and realize what the important things are, what we should be valuing more.

Now we’re not saying that we would shut off our lives or our everything in our lives, what this is saying is that, we would value more—we would put emphasis more— we would put importance more on God’s Word and be listening more to Him and rather than be consumed with other distractions.

The joy that would give us completion, the thing that would give us ultimate joy, is actually a person. It’s not found here. I mean, our gladness is not dependent on the things that we can find here. Our gladness is found in Christ and that gladness that He gives is from now until eternity.
