From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn
Kumusta po kayo. Welcome po sa ating devotions. Today is Day Four, it’s a Thursday, and today brings us to Acts 3 and Matthew 19.
20 That times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets long ago.
Acts 3:20-21 (ESV)
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Matthew 19:28 (ESV)
Pinapatungkulan po nito ang mangyayari sa future, wherein God will restore everything. As we go back to this devotional ang sabi po rito: “Because Earth is the realm where God’s glory has been the most challenged and resisted, it is also the stage in which His glory will be most graphically demonstrated.” Ang ganda n’un. It’s so beautiful because the Earth in as much as this was created by God, very beautifully for His glory’s sake, pero dahil sa fall, dito nakikita natin ang distorted na pananaw sa glory ng Diyos. Because of all places, dito natin makikita yung glory ng Diyos ay pinaka-challenge or mostly challenged at nireresist, dito raw sa mundong ito din in God’s perfect time would be glorified and manifested and most graphically demonstrated and I like that.
“By reclaiming, restoring, and resurrecting Earth—and empowering a regenerated mankind to reign over it—God will accomplish His purpose of bringing glory to Himself. “Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end” (Isaiah 9:7).” Ang ganda n’un, again, I can’t help but imagine how it would be like sa hinaharap, kung saan makakasama natin ang Panginoong Diyos sa luwalhati Niya for all eternity.
If God had wanted to, He could have consigned Adam and Eve to Hell and started over. Instead, He chose to redeem what He started with—the heavens, Earth, and humanity—to bring them back to His original purpose. God is the ultimate salvage artist. He loves to restore things and make them even better. His perfect plan is “to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth” (Ephesians 1:10).
