From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn
Blessed day everyone welcome to our fifth day of our 10th week ng ating daily devotions and as we go back to our devotional, napansin ko po malapit na tayong matapos sa devotional natin. Kasi, I just found out that this devotional is good for 60 days, we’re actually as I look at our devotional today we’re already in Day 58 so sandali na lang tapos na tayo sa ating devotional, and then we will be going to another devotion. So, I’ll keep you posted sa kung ano pong devotional material ang gagamitin natin as we continue on our daily devotions. But for now, as we go to Randy Alcorn’s devotional, we will be looking at Luke 16 and Luke 19.
11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?
Luke 16:11 (ESV)
17 And He said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’
Luke 19:17 (ESV)
So therefore, very obvious na ang ating pag-uusapan ay stewardship. Specifically striving to be a faithful steward. Are you a good steward? Are you a faithful steward ng pagpapala ng ating Panginoong Diyos? Time, treasures, talents, opportunities?
“A steward’s primary goal is to be “found faithful” by his master.” Ang primary goal daw ng isang steward o yung tagapangasiwa o yung pinagkatiwalaan, ay yung matagpuan ng ating master to be faithful. “He proves himself faithful by wisely using the master’s resources to accomplish the tasks delegated to him. Those resources include not only money but time, gifting, relationships, employment.” Gaya ng sinabi natin kanina, hindi lang ito materyal na bagay, it could be time, it could be opportunities, it could be,your employment, it could be your gifts, right? Skills.
“From this perspective stewardship isn’t a narrow subcategory of the Christian life. On the contrary, stewardship is the Christian life.” Ang ganda n’un di ba? Hindi lang siya category, hindi lang siya compartment ng Christian life, but it is the Christian life. God says, “It is required of stewards that they be found faithful,” not successful (1 Corinthians 4:2). We must leave the results to Him. Jesus said, “For where your treasure is there, will your heart be also” Luke 12:34.
