The Ultimate Goal of Missions (Psalm 67:1-7, ESV)

3 Reasons Why the World Must Worship God

• Worship God for His Great Salvation(Psalm 67:1-2)

​¹ May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us, Selah
² that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations. 

• Worship God for His Righteous Rule (Psalm 67:3-5)

³ Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
⁴ Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you judge the peoples with equity
and guide the nations upon earth. Selah
⁵ Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you! 

• Worship God for His Gracious Provision (Psalm 67:6-7)

⁶ The earth has yielded its increase;
God, our God, shall bless us.
⁷ God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him! 

Problem: How can the world worship Him whom they have not known or believed?

Answer: MISSIONS

Questions for Reflection:

• Are you willing and able to participate in missions from where you are right now?
• Do you know the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
• Can you explain it, even in a very basic way?
• Are there unbelievers in your life— family, friends, co-workers?
• Will you commit to praying for their salvation and to sharing the Gospel with them?
