Representing Our True Country | March 16, 2021

From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn

Happy Tuesday everyone welcome po sa ating devotions and today is day two of our tenth week and as we go back to our devotional, we’ll be looking at 2 Chronicles 7 and 2 Corinthians 5.

14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV)

For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling…6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord… 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:2,6,8

Praise the Lord for these truths. Today we’ll be looking at representing our true country. Sabi natin, alam natin na hindi tayo taga-rito. We are citizens of heaven, we are just sojourners, we are just pilgrims, we’re just passers-by. And so let’s look at our devotional today and find out how we can do this, how representing our true country. Sabi ni Randy Alcorn: “There is a widespread concern about many nations’ economies and blame.” Ang ganda nuh? Concern sila sa economies pero they blame. Very profound yun, yung pangungusap na yun ni Randy Alcorn: “There is a widespread concern about many nations’ economies and along with this widespread of concern there’s also widespread of blame. But the problem is the human heart. What affects economies is the cumulative attributes of individuals that make up a nation: honesty, hard work, gratitude, and care for others, rather than obsession with what we imagine we deserve, right? Dapat makita natin yun. We can’t solve all our nation’s problems, but we can address the issues of our own hearts.

Nakakalungkot nuh? Again, don’t get me wrong and I hope you would not misunderstand me. Hindi lang sa Pilipinas, all over the world because of the nature of the depravity of man. Maraming tao, wala sigurong gobyerno na humaharap na all bliss, na walang nagrereklamo. Lahat ng tao may reklamo sa gobyerno. Lahat ng tao may reklamo sa nangyayari sa paligid niya, and they don’t see that the problem is themselves.
