the history of gcf east

Greenhills Christian Fellowship East began through Growth Groups meeting in different areas of Antipolo, Cainta, and Taytay. Under the leadership of Dr. Lloyd Estrada, a steering council was formed to pursue concrete steps towards the realization of a new satellite church of Greenhills Christian Fellowship (Ortigas) in Rizal province. By the grace of God, the Board of Elders of GCF Ortigas launched GCF-East as its second satellite church on January 25, 1998.
The new church stayed at the Cruzcon Building through its first year, and experienced steady growth. When the Manila East Golf Club was ready for occupancy, GCF East met there for 1 ½ years. Again, the Lord added many new members, and the church moved to a bigger venue in the Manila East Arcade Building in Taytay.
In 2009, the Lord led the fast-growing church to become strategically situated in a fast-growing location just meters off Ortigas Extension. He blessed the church with its own 500-seat sanctuary and many other rooms for Sunday School and Bible studies. The location is just inside the gate of St. Anthony subdivision, across Ortigas from Valley Golf.
With this facility, GCF East is reaching out to residents of Antipolo, Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan and other towns of Rizal province. The congregation is a multi-cultural community of over 1000 people. The church offers solid, Bible-based preaching of God’s word and vibrant worship services every Sunday, and a warm, fun, and enjoyable atmosphere for young children to learn character-building Biblical truths through Sunday School classes. There is also a strong youth ministry that builds the faith of teens towards spiritual maturity, resulting in a ministry of influence and multiplication in school campuses. GCF East is also the church home for foreign national families from various countries, including the USA, Canada, South Korea, South Africa, UK, Malaysia, and India.
The mother church encouraged GCF East to incorporate after 15 years of existence to gain independence and autonomy in running the affairs of the church. In December, 2014, GCF East became an independent corporation.
