From the book “Truth For Today: A Daily Touch of God’s Grace” by John F. MacArthur
Hate what is evil. - Romans 12:9, NIV
Evil is the antithesis of holiness and therefore the antithesis of godliness. So the child of God hates evil because God hates evil (paraphrase of Proverbs 8:13).
If you truly love God you will fervently hate every form of evil. Because he loved God so much, David resolved that “a perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil” (Psalm 101:4, NASB). The faithful Christian should never compromise with evil.
