Magandng araw sa inyo. Welcome po sa ating daily devotions. Today, we’ll be looking at two passages, 2 Peter 3 and Romans 8. It’s very exciting that we will be discussing Heaven and New Earth.
13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
2 Peter 3:13 (ESV)
21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
Romans 8:21 (ESV)
Wow! It is exciting, because we know that there will be one day wherein we would be in glory, we’ll be in our glorified bodies and we will be enjoying God forever. Ang ating devotion ngayon, as we again with God’s grace, trying to have a daily dose of eternal perspective. We will be discussing, Awaiting Heaven on the (New) Earth.
“Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them”, sabi sa Revelation 21:3. As we close the book of Revelation, we would see na yung mga hinirang ng Diyos ay makakasama ng Diyos. When Scripture speaks of New Earth, we can expect that it will be a far better version of the old Earth, but it will truly be Earth.
We need to understand friends na yung New Earth, would be a better place than the Earth that we live in now. Earth can be delivered only by being resurrected. The removal of the Curse will be as thorough and sweeping as the redemptive work of Christ. In bringing us salvation, Christ has already undone some of the damage in our hearts, but in the end He’ll finally and and completely restore His entire creation to what God originally intended.
