From the book “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective” by Randy Alcorn
Kumusta po kayo, welcome to our ninth week sa ating daily devotions sa 2021. As we go back to our devotional, we will be looking at Proverbs 21 and Matthew 25.
13 Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor
Proverbs 21:13 (ESV)
will himself call out and not be answered.
40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to Me.’
Matthew 25:40 (ESV)
Obviously po ang ating pag-uusapan is, how we deal with the poor or how we ought to have a heart for the poor and needy? At napakarami sa paligid natin niyan. So tignan natin ang sinabi ni Randy Alcorn and it reads: “Caring for the poor is a sobering responsibility for which we will all be held accountable. Helping the poor and homeless is not a peripheral issue. God links our efforts for the poor directly to our relationship with Him. May He one day say of us what He said of King Josiah: “He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. It’s not this to know me? declares the LORD” (Jeremiah 22 16).
“The less I spent on myself and the more I gave to others the fuller of happiness and blessing did my soul become.” —Hudson Taylor
“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as ever you can.” —John Wesley
