We are again looking at this devotional material written by Randy Alcorn, “Seeing the Unseen: A Daily Dose of Eternal Perspective”, and we have been seeing how the truths that we have been looking at, can motivate and encourage us to not live for the now but live for the then, not live for the dot but live for the line, aspire to be good christians, and have a good testimonies sa mundong ito. Pero ang ating comfort and hope ay nasa panahon na tayo’y makakasama natin ang ating Panginoong Diyos, right?

Remember the former things of old;
for I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.

Isaiah 46:9 (ESV)

Ano ibig sabihin n’un as we look at this passage? That there is only one God. Therefore, this God is sovereign. Ang pag-uusapan po natin ngayong umagang ito ay ang sovereignty ng Panginoong Diyos.

Sabi po rito sa ating devotional, “Is God sovereign only when I get my way, or is He always sovereign? The God who’s sovereign in small things also controls the big ones.” He is sovereign, meaning He is in control, and He is not taken by surprise, meaning, walang pagkakataon sa buhay natin na na-surprised Siya, na hindi Siya in control, na parang, hindi Niya namalayan yun.

²⁰ Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, ²¹ to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
